The lineup for the Nike Hachi has had a decidedly premium bent as of late, with the leather-wrapped sole pair and the murdered out black nubuck look. The latest in special treatments for this lifestyle Swoosh silhouette is this so-called textile pair, which grabs a range of differing materials on the upper for a bit of a Frankenstein look. There’s rip-stop nylon on the side panel, suede down front towards the toe, and a nice tan toned leather on the back end and on the Nike tongue label. Follow us after the jump to get the full look at the result, and cop the Nike Hachi Textile now fromCrooked Tongues.

Now, we’ve seen it all! Never (ever!) did we think we’d see President Barack Obama standing next toSpike Lee and holding a pair of customized Air Jordan Spizikes. But, at an event for the President the other night that featured appearances from the famed director as well as Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Spike presented the President with his very own pair of customized Spizikes—ordered especially for the Prez by Michael Jordan. Because President Obama is a huge Chicago Bulls fan, he had them customized in a Bulls colorway. The Spizikes that he’s pictured with are also customized and are designed in a New York Knicks colorway. They may not agree on teams, but they both look like they agree on the fact that their Spizikes are dope.
So, will the President actually ever get around to wearing his Spizikes? Hmmm…We’re not 100 percent sure about this, but we don’t think the President’s got a pair of Wranglers in his closet that would go well with these. We also hope he realizes just how rare the sneakers he just got are. At a place like Flight Club NYC, these could easily fetch…oh, who are we kidding? If you get your hands on a pair of Obama Spizikes, you do not sell them. We repeat: You do NOT sell them.
Well played, though, Spike. We’re sure that there’s some sort of criticism that could come out of this photo—why is President Obama endorsing Nike?!—but we love the fact that the President of the United States of America is cool enough to pose for a shot with you and a pair of sneakers. We’ll be on the lookout for these on the President’s feet sometime in 2012.

Once a known for running, the Air Max 90 has made its transition to a lifestyle sneaker. Over it’s 20+ years in the game we have seen many colorways of this classic. The latest make up is reminiscent of the OG Air Max 95. This 90 contains a blend of black leather, grey suede, a white mesh upper along with Volt accents. The shoe also features its Max Air unit in the heel for comfort and support and sits on its traditional waffle outsoles.

Headed by mates Mark and Rob, the sneaker store prides itself on offering a stock list of brands not usually seen Down Under. Add to that a healthy dose of vintage apparel and kitsch vinyl toys; Sneak and Destroy are set to put fun back on the street map. One look at their new t-shirt brand, you’ll get a quick idea into what floats their Sneakin’ boat. We took ten out with the lads to crack a coldie and jive about the good old days and why they mack so hard on the freshest era, the ‘90s. Cowabunga!
